Sandoval County District Court is located in the Judicial Complex located at 1500 Idalia Road, Building A, Bernalillo, New Mexico 87004. The major crossroads are NM 528 and Idalia Road.
In Case of Inclement Weather:
Please tune in to your local television stations for delay or closure information for the Sandoval County District Court. Our Court follows the Rio Rancho Public Schools. If there is a delay, please report when the Court opens if you are instructed to report on that date.
If you are coming from the Jemez or Cuba areas, we understand that you have very different weather than in Rio Rancho. Please use your best judgement and notify the Court if you are unable to safely make the trip if you are scheduled to report on that date. Your safety is our priority!

PETIT JURY-TRIALS BY JURY
Please refer to the jury summons that was mailed to you for your juror sequence number.
We welcome our new incoming Jurors in groups 5000 thru 5003 with sequence # 1 thru 600. Your term began on April 14, 2023 and will end on June 15, 2023. Please call 505-867-2376 option 4 or check the website at www.thirteethdistrictcourt.nmcourts.gov on Friday after 5 pm to know what your instructions are for the following week.
This section lists all scheduled jury trials as well as any previously scheduled trials that have been changed or cancelled.
ABSENCES: Please let us know IN ADVANCE of any vacations, previous commitments, or appointments as we will try to work around your schedule. IF you are called for jury selection and have not notified the court that you will not be available, you will need to contact the Judge presiding over the trial. *COMPENSATION: Good News! The Supreme Court issued a new order dated July 11, 2022 NO. 22-8500-30 in regards to mileage increase. The order applies to all jurors who travel more than 40 miles roundtrip from their physical address to the summoned court location. The new payment rate is $0.50 per mile. Also, the minimum wage will also change on January 1, 2023 to $12 per hour for jurors.
**** Please remember to call the code-a-phone or check our website the night before – or – the morning of your scheduled report date! This will help avoid an unnecessary trip to the Courthouse in the event that your panel has been cancelled.
Warning Scam Alert:
We have received reports that someone is posing as a court employee or law enforcement and demanding payment of fake fines over the phone by credit card. Please know that the 13th Judicial District Court will NEVER call and ask for payment of any fines by phone using a credit card.
